Important Notice for Participants
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing the relationship between participants (“you/your”) and The Touring Team Private Limited (“TTT”, “we”, “our”, “us”) for all expeditions, tours, and services organized by us.
By registering or participating in a TTT journey, you acknowledge and accept these terms. This agreement supersedes all prior communications, brochures, advertisements, or verbal commitments.
TTT functions as the organizer and facilitator of overland expeditions. While we coordinate logistics and support, many services (e.g., hotels, border agencies, local guides, vehicle permits, etc.) are provided by third parties. TTT assumes no liability for the performance, quality, or conduct of third-party services.
By confirming a booking, you (and your co-participants) agree to abide by these terms at all times.
1. Definitions
- Agreement – Refers to these Terms & Conditions.
- TTT – The Touring Team Private Limited, including its employees, directors, contractors, and representatives.
- Participant/You – The traveler(s) who enroll, sign, or are named in the booking.
- Lead Participant – The individual initiating the booking on behalf of themselves and/or co-travelers.
- Road Trip/Expedition – Any journey organized by TTT, including cross-border or domestic overland expeditions.
- Service Providers – Third parties (e.g., hotels, visa agents, vehicle rental firms, local guides, etc.) engaged to deliver parts of the expedition.
- Vehicle – Any car, SUV, or other motor vehicle used by participants, whether self-owned or rented.
2. Travel Fare Terms
- Travel fare refers to the amount payable for participation, covering inclusions listed in the official itinerary.
- Fare excludes personal expenses (fuel, personal meals, repairs, penalties, or fines).
- Quoted fares are tentative and may be adjusted in case of unforeseen currency fluctuations, taxes, or force majeure events.
- All payments must be made as per the schedule provided. Delayed or failed payments may result in cancellation without refund.
- TTT reserves the right to adjust fares in case of significant cost escalations beyond our control.
3. Baggage, Property, and Liability
- Participants are allowed only essential personal items and clothing. Hazardous, illegal, or restricted items (firearms, drugs, explosives, fireworks, live animals, etc.) are strictly prohibited.
- TTT bears no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to participant property, including valuables, electronics, or travel documents.
- Participants are solely responsible for their belongings, whether carried personally or left in vehicles/hotels.
- TTT does not undertake to transport baggage separately.
4. Medical, Health & Safety
- Participants must ensure they are medically fit for overland travel. We recommend consultation with a physician prior to departure.
- Vaccinations, insurance, and prescribed medications must be arranged by the participant.
- TTT staff may carry first-aid kits, but participants are expected to manage personal medical needs.
- Emergency medical costs, evacuation, or hospitalization remain the sole responsibility of the participant.
- High-risk activities (treks, adventure sports, etc.) are optional and entirely at participant’s own risk.
5. Excursions, Activities & Third Parties
- Optional excursions (e.g., walking tours, adventure activities, local experiences) are conducted by third parties.
- TTT neither supervises nor guarantees these services.
- Participants joining such activities do so voluntarily and at their own risk.
6. Cancellations, Deviations & Refunds
- By TTT: We may cancel or reschedule trips due to safety, political, weather, or operational reasons. In such cases, participants may be offered alternate dates or credit. Refunds are not guaranteed.
- By Participants: Withdrawal before or during the trip is considered a cancellation, and no refunds will be issued once the expedition has started.
- Force Majeure: TTT is not liable for refunds or compensation in case of delays, cancellations, or changes caused by natural disasters, strikes, war, pandemics, border closures, or government restrictions.
7. Vehicle Responsibility
- Participants using self-owned vehicles must ensure roadworthiness, valid insurance, permits, and documents.
- Any mechanical failures, damages, or breakdowns are the participant’s responsibility.
- If a rental vehicle is arranged, liability for damages rests with the renter as per the rental contract.
- Participants are not permitted to drive TTT crew vehicles.
8. Legal Compliance & Conduct
- Participants must respect local laws, customs, and driving rules in every country visited.
- Violations (traffic offences, border rule breaches, etc.) are the sole responsibility of the participant.
- Misconduct, reckless driving, intoxication, or behavior endangering others may result in removal from the expedition without refund.
9. Travel Risks & Disclaimers
- Overland journeys involve risks including difficult terrains, weather changes, political situations, and border delays.
- Participants accept these risks as inherent to adventure travel.
- TTT is not liable for delays, itinerary changes, or missed experiences due to factors beyond our control.
10. Photos, Videos & Media
- By joining a TTT trip, you consent to photos/videos being captured during the journey for documentation and promotional purposes.
- TTT reserves rights over such material for marketing (social media, brochures, press, etc.), unless explicitly opted out in writing.
- Participants may not use TTT’s official media, logo, or brand for commercial use without prior consent.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- This agreement shall be governed by Indian law.
- All disputes are subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, India.
12. Limitation of Liability
- TTT shall not be held liable for injury, illness, death, delays, cancellations, or damages arising from third-party actions, government restrictions, natural calamities, or participant negligence.
- Our maximum liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by the participant to TTT for the specific expedition.
13. Acknowledgement & Consent
By booking a trip with TTT, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
- You are participating voluntarily and at your own risk.
- You consent to abide by all rules, instructions, and safety measures set by TTT.
